Carving seascapes
Over 9 weeks of the National Lockdown I carved intricate patterns into a large lino-type board to construct an imagined seascape. At the time, this piece reflected on the many hours of isolation; seeking a way out of the confinement of my bedroom by forming an imaginary landscape containing highly detailed areas to prolong the carving period. I can depict clear influences from my interests in oceanography, Japanese Woodcut prints, and technology.
