Ocean robots

Glider Paths, screen print and video projection, 2019

These prints investigate two deployed Gliders off the coast of Bermuda: BIOS Anna and Jack. Using the online tracking system, I can see Anna and Jack’s movements in the ocean from when they were deployed to their current status. Through layers of visual material, I aesthetically replicate their movements and location.

Experimenting with traditional and contemporary printmaking enabled a dynamic investigation into aspects of autonomous ocean robot technology. Ocean robots shows a development of artworks, from documenting technological advancements to projecting current data of the ocean ecosystem.
